Beauty is not about a beautiful face, it includes the often ignored parts like your hands and feet, nails, arms and neck. Beauty is often only associated with the face, but other parts also need attention. How would it look if you use makeup on your face and have chipped nail polish on your fingers or worst you have cracked heels. Is that beauty complete? No, not really. We intend to tell you how to enhance your over all beauty quotient. Read on to discover a new you.
Nails - Chipped and ridged edges are a complete turn off. If you have delicate nails that won’t grow and chip easily then try some home remedy. Apply some olive oil or cod liver oil. Rub the oil twice in a day on your nails, this will give them strength and encourage growth. Also never pull an ingrown nail, it can lead to severe infection. Instead, use a clipper to cut the in-growth.
Cracked feet – This is another common problem. Our feet is subject to so much of torture that it needs a lot of care and pampering. Cracked heels look awful and the best way to treat your feet is to apply an emollient. The best natural emollient is coconut oil, it has soothing properties and can penetrate almost 80% inside the skin. Of course there are some over the counter creams available for foot care but if you want to go natural then coconut oil is the best solution. Remember that the oil should be scented or have any other ingredients. Pure and natural coconut oil is the perfect solution for dry and cracked heels.
Dark neck or armpits - Neck usually becomes dark because of sun exposure. People tend to ignore the neck while applying sunscreen and armpits can turn black due to the unhealthy hair removing habits. Whatever be the cause, it can be treated and the best home remedy is the age old besan and malai treatment. Mix gram flour, malai, turmeric and lime juice and apply it on the neck and arm pits. Leave it for 8 -10 mins and rinse off.
