Another way to match your hair colour is by checking the colour of your eyes, light eyed people can go for lighter coloured hair and dark eyed people should opt for darker shades. The colour of your hair should not be in contrast with your eye colour.

Natural hair colour - Evaluate your natural hair colour and choose a colour that is not more than 4 shades lighter than your original hair colour. For instance, if you have jet black hair then stay away from blonde.

Similarly, if you have light brown or golden hair then dark colours like burgundy, chestnut etc may not be for you. Choose your hair colour very carefully.
