Wigs
Wigs have been used the world over from time immemorial. The ancient Egyptians wore them to protect themselves from the scorching heat of Africa. We find traces of the wig in Asia too, where it was used mostly for dramatic and theater artists.
The wig has definitely been around the world and left its impression in several ways. It found prominence with the royals of England and Europe in the 16th century when the unhygienic standard of living during that era called for wigs. Head lice had spread like crazy hence people resorted to shaving their heads and using wigs.
As time passed by wigs become more expensive, the ones made withhuman hair are the costliest. Wigs can be used by people with a receding hairline or cancer patients who lose hair due to chemotherapy. Wig is available in various styles and patterns and can be styled to suit the individual requirement. You can also have a Made-to-order wig which will fit perfectly and look natural, but you would need to consult a wig specialist.
There are 2 types of wigs i.e. Human hair wig and Synthetic wig. Though human hair wig is the costlier than synthetic but it is comfortable to wear and feels natural Infact it is possible to get a shade that exactly matches your hair and if you cannot find one then you get it custom made for you. Human hair behaves naturally and doesn’t itch while wearing.
Though maintenance wise it is a little tedious as compared to Synthetic wig. Synthetic wig is of 2 types the classic one and mono- filament one, the latter is a bit expensive but has superior quality. Synthetic wig doesn’t require any styling or maintenance as natural hair wig but it be kept away from heat or heated instruments so you cannot style it with curling irons or flat irons.
