Micro dermabrasion is the procedure where an instrument is used to remove the upper layer of the skin. It includes crushed diamond crystals that are used for exfoliating the skin. It is practiced either with a heavy hand to go a little deeper in the skin or with a light hand to merely touch the superficial layer of the skin.
Depending on the severity of the scars or marks, the instrument is used with a heavy or light pressure. The entire treatment takes about 10 minutes and is followed by a face mask, which is left for 20 minutes. After removing the mask, the next step is to apply Vitamin C and allow it to stay for 2 to 3 hours. The result is almost instant and you would require a minimum of three sittings.
