What Causes Summer Hair Loss
Summer hair loss is not so common, infact we always hear about the increase in growth rate during this season. Though, hair grows faster during summer but the heat can have devastating effects on your scalp.
It can burn the hair and cause severe damage to your delicate tresses. Heat protection is a must during this season. Heat can pose some serious hair problems like fungal infection. Heat and humidity can cause severe sweating, which in turn makes the scalp dirty and greasy.
When the hair is not washed regularly, the dirt accumulates and can lead to fungal infection. This condition causes itching of the scalp and affects the hair follicle. This can lead to hair loss since the roots are damaged. Moreover, sun exposure can make the hair dry, it saps the hair of its natural moisture. Hence conditioners are a must during this season.
Try to keep your scalp clean, wash it everyday to prevent any build up of pollutants. But, use a mild shampoo, strong shampoos can worsen the condition. Your shampoo should read “pH Balanced”, else it will do more harm than good.
We recommend some easy summer hair care tips. Get your hands on s scarf whenever you are out in the sun. Covering your head with a cotton scarf is the best way to save it from the harmful sun rays. If covering your hair seems to be difficult then apply some leave-in conditioner, it will form a thin film on the hair and wont let the sun rays penetrate your shaft.
Keep your regular conditioner for a little longer in your hair, we are not asking you to increase the quantity of conditioner. Too much of anything is not good, so limit the quantity to a coin sized amount, but let it develop for at least 5 to 7 minutes. You need this extra conditioning, especially during summer.
