Wedding Makeup

The word “wedding” rings a bell in every woman’s heart and brings a smile on her face. Everyone looks at gorgeous venues, perfect outfit, a special guest list and to cap it all the best makeup to highlight the beauty. These expectations of a perfect wedding often create anxiety. It is thus important to plan your hairstyle, outfit and make up well in advance.

These days many salon’s offer bridal packages which which start as early as 7 weeks before the D-day. It is a perfect way to pamper yourself and get ready for the big day. These packages cover the entire body inclusive of special services for skin and hair. But all this is of no good if you don’t get your make up right.

Here are some tips for the perfect makeup:

1) Cleanse your face and apply ice cubes over it, including the neck. This will ensure the longevity of your make up.

2) Apply concealer on the dark circles of the eyes and any other area where you have blemishes. The concealer should be a shade lighter than your natural skin tone. Now apply foundation which is closest to your complexion and apply evenly to get a uniform look. Apply foundation in dots over face and neck and blend it with a wet sponge.

3) The next step is to highlight the eyes which is one of the most important feature. Eyeshadow can be matched with the outfit and a hint of gold or silver can be added around the brow bone to give that luminescent bridal glow. Finish the eye makeup with mascara and eyeliner.

4) Lipstick application should come next, lips should be prepped with some foundation to ensure that the colour does not wear off during the day. Apply a lip liner which is of the same shade of the lipstick and allow it to blend with the lipstick for natural fuller lips. Highlight either the lips or eyes, so if you have used dark eye makeup then keep the lipstick shade lighter and vice versa. Do not highlight both the features, though you can play down both the features for a soft makeup look which looks natural.
