Types of Lipsticks
Lipsticks are a woman’s best companion, they help in pepping up your looks and instantly brighten up the face. These days lipsticks are available in lots of varieties and lipstick application is extended to lip liners, lip gloss, lip shimmer and lately lip plumper’s.
It is not just restricted to lipstick application, it is beyond that and there are a plethora of lip products available in the market. Lipsticks are available in the form of gloss, matte, shimmer, moisture whipped and liquids. Choose a lipstick that will best suit your lifestyle.
Glossy lipsticks - These lipsticks are not long stay and are not meant for office wear, however, light gloss can be worn to work but a heavy gloss lipstick with shimmer is certainly not meant for work wear. Also glossy lipsticks would require a re-application every 2 to 3 hours since it fades away and looks awful when partially faded. These lipsticks are good for parties since the shimmer will dazzle in the bright lights.
Matte lipsticks - Matte lipsticks are best for office goers, they stay longer than glossy lipsticks. Though a disadvantage of matte lipstick is that they dry out the lips very badly due to long hours of wearability. The lipstick might crack and create lines in your lips which looks disgusting. Also the lipstick can thread if the lips are not nourished. Instead of using a hardcore matte lipstick go for creamy mattes.
Liquid lipsticks - Liquid lipsticks are not too glossy and can be worn to work as well as parties. If you want your liquid lipstick to stay longer then wear a similar shade of creamy matte lipstick underneath, this will make the colour look fuller. The common problem with liquid lipstick is that the colour doesn’t look full, even after wearing 2 coats.
Lip plumper’s - These are a rage all over, they enhance your lips and make it appear fuller. Lip plumper’s work on the concept of rushing blood to your lips as a result it swells and becomes reddish.
