Items needed:

Eye shadows in two shades (a light and a dark one)
A primer
Brushes
Mascara
Eyeliner or kohl

How to get the look:

Apply a base or primer on the eyelid evenly. This makes the eye shadow stay in place for a long while.

Apply eyeliner or kohl thickly on the upper lid and lower lid. The smoky colors are essentially black, grey or dark brown. Apply the eyeliner thickly on the lash line.

Smudge the eyeliner on the upper lid slightly to get the smoky look. Do not smudge the liner on the lower lid.

Apply evenly the black, grey or brown eye shadow on the eyelid. It should be slightly lighter near the tear ducts and darker as it blends towards the eye lid.

Use a light contrasting color for highlighting the brow bone. Sweep it towards the outer corners of the eye as it blends with the dark shade.

Apply a volume enhancing mascara to make the eyelashes look thicker and longer.

What you should not do:

Remember, smoky eyes are a night-look. It doesn’t look good during day time.

Smoky colors are essentially dark shades, so make sure that the rest of the face is neutral and the lips are pale nude. Do not wear a dark lipstick or bronzer with smoky eyes. That would be a beauty disaster!

You can also use the eye shadow as the eyeliner. This gives a more natural smoky look and is easier to blend.

This way, you can turn on the heat with smoky eyes! The look is easy to look but a little tough to get! But, now you have our tips to guide you all through. We hope you get the perfect look!
