The Professional Way of Blow Drying Hair
Have you wondered why your hair doesn’t look good when you blow dry at home? Well, there are some tricks to blow drying and only if you learn these tricks you can blow dry your hair like a professional.
These are some simple tips that we do not realize, but when adopted at home you can get the salon effect. Firstly, you would have to invest in some hair products and accessories like hair brushes, comb, good quality blow dryer, salon use hair products and of course the salon quality shampoo and conditioner. Before blow drying your hair it is essential to shampoo them.
Now, soak up the excess water as much as you can. Never use a blow dryer on wet hair, your hair should be damp before using a dryer. Use a high absorbent towel that will soak up all the water from your hair. Apply some hair serum and de-tangle your hair with a wide toothed comb. Apply some heat protecting product on your hair before using any heated instrument like a blow dryer or flat iron or tongs.
Now, divide your hair into small sections and start working from the nape of your neck and then move upwards. Hold a hair brush in one hand and point the hair dryer downwards on your hair while drying. To avoid your hair getting puffy, hold the brush straight and tight and blow dry in a straight direction instead of moving your hands on either sides.
The movement of your hair should be straight and downwards for that perfect sleek look. Always blast some cool air once you are done with the blow drying. This will close the cuticles that have opended due to heat. Open cuticles make your hair appear rough and dull. Closing them would add shine to your mane.
So, you see the trick is very easy, you just need the right products and technique for blow drying hair. If you want to create soft curls using a blow dryer then use a round brush and create curls. Hold on the curl for few minutes before you release it. Blast some hot hair on this curled section before releasing the hair brush.
