The No Makeup Look

Though makeup covers flaws and highlights your best features, but if it is very evident, it looks unnatural. What we are trying to say is that makeup should not look artificial, it should not be loud. If it is done lightly, it will make your skin appear naturally glowing and beautiful. Too much of caked up look is a copmplete no no and excessive shimmer/ glitter should be avoided to get this look. If you can afford to spend a fortune on makeup then go for mineral makeup products, it looks absolutely stunning. Not just that, it also appears to be natural and feels lighter. To get the no-makeup look right, read our pro-tips about and get gorgeous.

1) Do not apply foundation or concealer all over the face, only apply a little foundation under the eyes to cover the dark circles if any. You can replace foundation with souffle, or just dust some translucent powder. Go for a shade which is closest to your skin.

2) For your eyes, apply a nude coloured eye shadow in pale matte shades. Use the lighter one on the brow bones and blend it with a darker shade to cover the entire eyelid. The best nude shades would be light brown, coffee or yellow based shades like cream, beige and so on. Curl your lashes with an eye lash curler and apply a transparent coat of mascara. Skip the eyeliner completely. Lightly apply kohl pencil to fill the eyes but remember use a light hand while application.

3) Keep your lips light, use a light shade of lipstick without a lip liner. Now dab some lip balm or lip gloss over your lipstick to get that natural look. “Less is more” is the key to no-makeup look. Don’t apply blusher on the cheeks, if you really want a little tint on the cheeks then rub some beetroot on a freshly cleaned face. Beetroot will give naturally rosy cheeks, but you need to do this before you apply the translucent powder.
