The No Make-Up Look

Wearing make-up is a challenge for working women, with limited time at disposal and the need to look presentable it is even more difficult. It is very important to get the make-up right since excessive caked up look will not only look tacky but will also become fodder for gossip.

For office goers, less is more. Keep the make-up minimal, use very little foundation. During the day it is best to use a compact, these days there are lots of variations available in the market. You can choose from powder compact to cream based, you can also try souffle. Pick a shade that matches your complexion to the T. For your eyes, use a natural shade of matt eye shadow that is just a shade lighter than your skin tone.

This will help highlighting your eyes without making it obvious. Use a mascara on your lashes with a very fine line of eyeliner. For the cheeks use a light hint of peach blush, it is ideal for the indian skin tone. On the lips use a shade of lipstick that is as close to your skin tone as possible, ensure that it is not lighter than your skin colour.

Follow it with a little gloss in the center of your lips for a natural pout. It is important to use a lip liner which is an exact colour of your lipstick. Line your lips and then dab some lip balm to even it out then follow up with the application of lipstick. Occasionally if you want to highlight your cheekbones then use a dab of a darker shade of foundation just below your cheekbones and blend it outwards.

After you apply foundation, set it with translucent powder. When you apply blush, use a darker blush just below the cheekbones to lift and sharpen your face. Remember to blend outwards during the application.
