Hairstyle is like the icing on cake, it can instantly change your look. A good hair cut will frame your face and highlight the most attractive features. Hairstyle has evolved since ages, it existed even in the 15th century. The transition from simple to chic has been slow and steady. It is surprising to know that even men cared for their hair and there was bunch of metrosexual men back then in the 15th century. This is no fluff, we are telling you the truth. In the era of King Charles 1, men would starch their hair ends so that they remain straight.
We seem to have given this style a name “Spikes” and we use hair gels for creating these spikes. If you want to go the damage free way then starch your hair for creating those deadly spikes. Women were keen about colouring their mane, however, the methods of hair colouring were chemical free. They used vegetables and herbs to add colour and shine to the hair.
You too can adopt this age old method of colouring. Save your poor tresses from chemical torture, go natural. One such trick to get a tinge of colour on your hair is by using Henna, these days henna is available in the form of powder and paste and is absolutely ready to use. You can apply henna on your hair and scalp, it will not only add colour but will also nourish the scalp.
Want to know which vegetable can give you colour? Well, it is beetroot, simply make a paste of beetroot and apply it as a hair mask once in a week. You can also use onion peels or saffron to add different shades of colour to your hair.
Though the colour wont be permanent, but it is certainly better than drowning your hair in a pool of chemicals. The importance of colouring and styling hair in different ways was given importance centuries ago. You too can adopt some of these wonderful ways of styling hair. They are safe and will not damage your mane.
