The blood vessels get contracted, thus leading to dull and lifeless look of the skin.
The body’s storage of vitamins also gets reduced due to smoking. Thus, the skin is not able to get the required vitamins and minerals that are necessary for healthy looking skin.
The skin may also get dry due to excessive smoking.

In order to revive the skin, an individual must take care of the skin in a proper manner. An individual must eat vitamin C rich fruits and foods, so as to improve the texture and tone of the skin. Foods enriched with zinc should be included in the diet, for stimulating the collagen production, which is highly essential for skin. Oat flakes, wheat, and fish should be definitely included in the diet.
A youthful glow on the skin can be attained by eating carrots and lettuce. An individual must exfoliate the skin at least twice in a week to get rid of the dead skin and improve the texture of the skin. A good exfoliating scrub should be taken and massaged on the skin for imparting a youthful glow to the skin. Also, make use of nourishing and moisturizing cream every day in the night before going to bed to improve the firmness and elasticity of the skin.
