The Dos And Donts of Makeup

Little girls are always fascinated by makeup and dressing up well. These girls grow up to become fashion conscious women, but what with their makeup lessons. Do they continue to make the same mistakes or have they learned the trick of the trade. As young girls, there isn’t much guidance, moreover, it doesn’t matter even you put on too much of blusher, you will still get compliments for the efforts taken to dress well. But, don’t expect the same behavior when you grow up. You will not get compliments, instead, you will get criticism for your dumb and common makeup mistakes.

There are certain dos and don’ts that one must follow to get the make up right.

Dos

1) Do clean your skin thoroughly before applying makeup. Makeup is an art and your skin is the canvas, so create a clean canvas for your makeup. Wash your face with a mild pH balanced face wash or clean it with a cleansing milk.

2) Always use makeup brushes for applying makeup, you will amazed with the results. Your makeup will not only look professional but will also stay longer.

3) Whatever colour palette you choose for your eyeshadow or blusher, ensure that it is blended well on the skin. The colours should not have borders that show where the colour ends and the natural skin colour begins. Blending is the most important part of good makeup.

4) If you like wearing 2 to 3 shades of eye shadow, then ensure that the colours are from a same family. A better option would be to buy an eyeshadow palette , instead of single eyeshadow pots. The palette will have shades from the same colour family, so you don’t have to bother about it.

Don’ts

1) Never highlight more than one feature, highlight either the eyes or lips. Do not highlight both the features.

2) Do not wear foundation, which is darker or lighter than your original skin tone. This is the biggest makeup blunder.

3) Another don’t is to use a dark lip-liner with a light lip colour. This looks like as if there is a “ring in the mouth”.
