T- Zone Skin

Skin is of different types, oily, dry, normal and combination. The combination type of skin is known as T-Zone skin, this zone runs across the forehead and lower down to the nose and chin. It forms the shape of a “T” hence it is called T-zone. The skin in this area is very oily as compared to the cheeks and neck which leads to the occurence of pimples in T-Zone. People with this kind of skin will often notice their cheeks drying up in winter but the nose, forehead and chin area remains oily.

One needs to be a little careful with this kind of skin, moisturizing can be a problem. One has to use skin care products meant for combination skin, routine skin care should be followed with utmost care.

Some home remedies listed here can be of help for this type of skin:

1) Do not apply cold cream, instead prepare a moisturizer by mixing glycerine and rosewater. This light moisturizer will nourish the skin and won’t cause pimples. You can also add a few drops of lemon juice before applying this moisturiser.

2) Apply curd with a little turmeric on the entire face and leave it for 20 minutes, wash it off with warm water.

3) Make a paste of sandalwood and fullers earth, it soaks up all the oil from the skin and has cooling effect.

4) Make a scrub at home with rice powder and curd, add a little turmeric if you wish. This scrub is excellent for the skin and makes your skin soft, supple and smooth.

5) Another method to be used daily is honey and lemon juice. Honey is known to have brightening properties, it brings shine to the hair and skin. Try these home remedies and see the visible difference in just few months.
