Summer Hair Problems
Summer time is bad for your skin and hair, exposure to the heat of the sun causes breakage of hair. Excessive sweating, dirt and grime are the culprits for poor hair condition during this season. Though these factors cannot be completely ruled out but you can certainly control the harmful effects. Hair care is in your hands and you can effectively arrest hair loss with a little bit of awareness. There are some hair care tips during summer. The first thing you should do in summer is to cut your hair short, this way you will avoid any hair problems related to sweat, dirt and grime. So go short and experiment with your looks, don’t worry your hair will grow back faster during summer than any other season.
Short hair is a lot easier to manage for you can wash it frequently and keep it squeaky clean. But don’t go very short since it will expose your scalp to the harsh sun rays, keep the length such that you can either pin it up or wear a butterfly clip.
Summer season is the best time to indulge in some fashionable head gear, try bandanas, caps, hats and scarves to make a style statement, it will protect your hair from the harmful sun rays. Headgear will also prevent your hair colour from fading due to sun exposure, but ensure that you use hair friendly fabric, cotton is the best option, silk will not absorb sweat.
Change your shampoo and conditioner, buy products meant specially for daily use. Also avoid hair products like gels, sprays, mousse etc, they can weigh down your tresses and will make your hair limp. These products will also form a coating on your hair which is difficult to get rid off specially during summer. The effect of the hair product worsens when combined with sweat and dirt.
