Spring Hair Style

Spring is almost here and it is just about the right time to have a glance at what our hair will look like in 2008. Most of my model friends have already had their hair experimented with for the different shows this season (nope, I am keeping my long waves). I will not continue on this painful topic of hair experiments for the shows, as it will be just way too painful for my readers and for my girls. Just believe me on this one, there are designers that don’t care how your hair will look like after the show is done and if it will suit you at all. Nope, their job is to make a trend.

Nothing gives your look a jumpstart quite like color. This rinsed curly ‘fro is gorgeous. To get the hairstyle begin with clean and conditioned hair. If you don’t normally rock your hair natural, treat it with a deep conditioner and sit under the dryer for 20 minutes. This will make your curl more vibrant, bouncy and flexible.

After washing out the conditioner, and while the hair is still wet, apply a generous amount of setting lotion to the hair. Begin two-strand twisting the hair from root to tip in the direction that you want the hair to be styled. After all the hair is twisted, sit under a hooded dryer for approximately 60 minutes, or until the hair is dry. Once the hair is completely dry, begin releasing the twists and applying a natural-based oil to the hair. Finger the curls to achieve your desired spring hair style.

Spring Hairstyles Tips

Here are some spring hairstyles listed out just for you.

Bob Spring Cut :
Have a sneak look into Hollywood. You will find a lot of famous faces wearing the sleek bob. Yes, the basic bob keeps coming back for spring season. Bobbed waves similar to the 1940s styles surely give you the spring feel.

Line Spring Cut
: A line cut has a blunt edge. In this hairdo length is same in the front and back. Keep the side bangs neatly smoothened for that polished look.

Wavy Natural Spring Hairstyle : For guys who have naturally voluminous hair, this hairstyle suits well.

Stand in front of a full-length mirror and look to see how well your current hairstyle suits you. Use a handheld mirror when you turn around in order to view all angles, including the back of your hair.

Hold up or pin long hair to imagine how it would look cut short. See what length is most flattering to the shape of your face.

Try on various wigs and extensions at a wig shop to see how different styles (and perhaps colors) will look.

Low buns are simple, messy and fast! Pretend like your making a low ponytail but instead of pulling the hair all the way threw the elastic band, loop half of your hair and leave the lengthier bits popping out in disarray. Takes literally two seconds and can be dressed up or down depending on where you are headed.

Headbands are back in a BIG way. Things to keep in mind, the smaller your head and features are the bigger and bolder you can go with styles, width and color of headband. If you have a big dome and big face, best to keep the headband smaller and solid tones. This will help keep your features in appropriate proportion.

Beautiful Curls

Cascading curls with volume and fullness play up spring’s feminine dresses.  Reflect the pretty shades and floral prints of the season with a soft pink lip color—then add metallic eyeshadow for a hint of glamour.  Getting great curls is easier than ever.  If you’ve got naturally curly or wavy hair, ask your stylist for ways to enhance it.  Straight hair can be coaxed into beautiful curls by using the right tools.  A curling iron, rollers or a permanent wave can add flirty, feminine curls.  For any hair type, the right curl-enhancing products make a big difference—talk to your stylist about finding the perfect product to create, control and define curls.
