Sporting A Long Face Stylishly

Finding suitable styles for the hair is easy once you have understood your hair and your body well. Find a style that matches both, and you can rarely go wrong.

An oblong face is a common structure. This type is characterized by its length. The width is markedly less than the length. The best length to maintain is a short to medium length. Avoid growing the hair very long as it adds to the length of the face. Try using styles that add volume to the face.

Layers are a good option for this kind of face. Try and keep hair from falling on the sides of the face as it cuts the sides of the face even more. Strictly avoid use of a fringe, as it adds to the attention on the forehead, which is already pronounced.

To give more volume to the hair, use curls that give an impression of roundness and bounce. Ringlets around the sides of the face are also a good option.

While colouring the hair, keep in mind the areas that you want to detract attention from and areas that you want to highlight. It might be worthwhile to colour the hair more towards the tips and stay clear at the crown to keep it more muted. Curls accentuated with highlights work very well for this structure of the face.

The ideal length of hair for this type of face is to keep it above shoulder length. Try styles that make the face look more round. Blunt cuts and puffy bobs are good styles to add bounce to the hair and more volume around the sides.

You will see that with a little know-how you really will not end up in a spot when playing with your hair. Toy with new ideas once you have the confidence to achieve looks that will compliment you. And the perfect look is easiest to achieve.
