Soft Makeup

Makeup can be loud or subtle, though some occasions like wedding, parties or festivals demand heavy makeup but subtle makeup is the key to look flawless naturally. The trick to soft makeup is to keep the face pale but cover all the imperfections like scars, marks, pimples etc. Use a concealer to cover dark circles under the eyes and other facial marks.

Whilst giving a natural look it is very important to match the colour of your foundation with your complexion, it should be an exact match else it will look like a mask. Keep the shades of eye shadow nude, natural browns are the best for nude eyes, experiment a bit to make your eyes look sharp. Dump the regular eyeliner for Kajal, it gives a very natural look to your eyes while giving them a definition.

Another simple technique to make your cheeks look pinkish is to use beetroot, apply raw beetroot on your cheek bones for a natural looking blush. The colour will stay longer and is absolutely harmless, you can also use it on the lips to give them a red tinge. Apply a lip balm (colourless) over it for glossy red lips. To pop up your eyes even further apply mascara but a transparent one, don’t use a black or brown coloured mascara, it will look artificial.

Transparent mascara looks very natural and doesn’t smudge around eyes. You can skip foundation and use a Souffle instead, souffle is lighter and doesn’t look heavy on the face it blends better than foundation. Another trick to light makeup is to add a few drops of toner or plain water to your foundation before application.

This will dilute the foundation and make it look lighter, also in humid conditions foundation can create creases or cracks on your face after few hours. It is best to use translucent tinted powder to cover marks and scars instead of foundation during summer.
