Skin Polishing
Skin polishing is one of the latest invention in the world of beauty, it helps in brightening the skin and removes the dead skin cells from the upper most layer of the skin, like the term suggests it polishes your skin so you get the right shine.
Though it works on the same principal of exfoliation the method used is a little different, there are two types of polishing which are commonly known one of them is a manual method and the other uses micro- dermabrasion. Manual skin polishing is simple and can be done at home, it is done with a wash cloth whereas Micro-dermabrasion would require professional expertise.
Manual Skin Polishing – For skin polishing at home you would require one large looped wash cloth, one small looped wash cloth, pumice stone, flannel cloth, cotton and silk gloves and Olive oil. To start with, apply olive oil all over your body and leave it for 20 – 25 minutes, let the oil get absorbed completely, this will hydrate your skin and preapre it for polishing.
Now scrub the pumice stone in areas where there is thick built up of dry dead skin. Use the large looped wash cloth and lather it with a mild soap or body wash, use gentle even pressure in circular motion, do not rub too much since excessive exfoliation will burn your skin. Now use the fine looped wash cloth in a similar manner, work quickly and do not over exfoliate.
Now pat dry your skin with a towel and use the flannel cloth in circular motion to buff your skin, you will feel the smoothnessin instantly. Now wear the cotton gloves and again buff the entire body in rapid circles, do not put any pressure on your skin, the buffing should be done gently. For the final glow, use the satin gloves and follow the same steps for buffing your skin and Wallah!!!! you have the most beautiful skin, you will feel the difference after this skin polishing session, your hands will actually glide on your skin.
