Myth – Genes will decide the quality of your skin.
Truth – Though genes play an important role in deciding the colour and texture of your skin but it is your skin care habits that will make the difference. If you don’t care for your skin you are likely to face early ageing and other skin conditions.

Myth – SPF is the only important factor while buying sunscreen.
Truth – SPF is one of the factors while buying your sunscreen but SPF will only offer sun protection from the UVB rays. Sun rays are of 2 types UVA and UVB, the former one is more harmful and is consistent throughout the year. UVB rays change as per seasons, they are mild during winter and monsoon but UVA rays remain constant. So look for a sunscreen which protects you from both the rays. SPF number is not that important as the UV protection.

Myth – Age reversing creams and lotions can reduce fine lines and wrinkles.
Truth – No cosmetic cream or lotion can ever reduce wrinkles, no matter how expensive it is. When we age our skin looses it elasticity, the bone shrinks and you tend to loose fat under your skin. These natural changes cannot be reversed with cosmetic creams, they can at the most provide moisturisation to the skin.
