Seasonal Dandruff

Dandruff has become a universal problem, with the rising pollution and stress it is difficult to keep dandruff at bay. To add to this agony is the seasonal change in the climatic conditions. Many people do not realize that their scalp is just like the skin on their body and it needs to be protected. When ignored, especially during winter, many people suffer from dandruff. To cure seasonal dandruff we suggest some home remedies. One of the best ways to deal with this condition is hot oil treatment, it deals with dandruff effectively. Hear pure coconut oil, or til oil or olive oil. Apply the oil on your scalp with cotton wool, rubbing gently to dissolve the flakes.

Then dip a towel in hot water, squeeze out the water and wrap the hot towel around your head. Leave it for 5 minutes and repeat this for three to four times, hot towel wrap aids better penetration of hair oil in the scalp and hair. Leave the oil overnight, next morning apply the juice of lemon on the scalp. Leave it for half an hour and then shampoo as usual.

Another remedy for dandruff is to add five drops of Rosemary essential oil to 50 ml rosewater. Shake well and store it in a glass bottle with a tight fitted lid. Apply this on your scalp after shampoo and leave it on. Grind one tablespoon of methi seeds coarsely and soak in 2 cups of cool water. Leave it overnight, strain and use the water as a last rinse after shampoo.

Dandruff which is in the form of fine powder is caused due to stress so these remedies will not help. Incase you suffer from this type of dandruff, work toward relaxing your mind and body. Practice Yoga and meditation, these relaxing techniques will help you cope with stress.
