Seasonal Acne
Acne is caused due to the over production of sebum in our skin. When the oil glands are over activated they lead to excess oil secretion and when this oil clogs the pores on the surface of your skin it becomes a breathing ground for bacteria. When the sebum comes in contact with bacteria, the area is infested and causes eruptions. It is advisable not to touch or prick the pimples since the condition can get worse. Acne is also caused due to hormonal imbalance and this type of acne needs medication and consultation with a doctor.
Oral pills are prescribed to arrest the imbalance in the individual, this imbalance usually occurs during puberty. Another reason for an acne outburst is change in the climatic conditions, weather also plays a vital role in the condition of our skin, you might have noticed how the skin becomes dry during winter and how oily skin becomes more greasy during summer. Though one cannot avoid change in weather conditions but you can incorporate some home remedies to cure seasonal skin problems.
Let’s look at the month of January when there is relief from the scorching heat. But the mild chill brings with it viruses and skin and hair problems. To cure seasonal acne during winter adopt this simple home remedy. Mix 1 teaspoon of pure glycerine with 100 ml rose water, and store it in an airtight bottle.
Apply this mixture whenever your skin feels dry or after cleaning your face. If you have oily and acne prone skin, mix one teaspoon each of honey and yogurt. Add a little turmeric and apply this on the face and wash it off with water after 20 minutes. Simply applying milk and turmeric will also improve the texture of your skin, milk suits all skin types and has some acids which are beneficial for the skin.
