Rebonding - Boon or Bane

Rebonding, is a boon for those who always desired straight hair and silky hair, even if you are born with frizzy hair, rebonding can change your hair to silky smooth in just few hours. Such is the magic of rebonding, not just that, the quality of your hair and the hair texture is so unbelievable that it will make you fall in love with your hair.
Infact a few months down the line after your rebonding session you will really love your and miss it too since you will hardly have any hair left on your head. That’s why I wonder if Rebonding is a boon or bane, it is the worst torture you can cause to your hair. Lets understand the dreadful rebonding procedure. The chemical bonds of your hair are broken, then they are rearranged and bonded back again permanently.
Once rebonded the hair will remain straight forever,however, the new hair growth will be of the original nature. This procedur of breaking the hair bonds requires use of strong chemicals products. The procedure also requires ironing the hair several times which can actually burn your hair if the temperature is more than 180 degrees.
Rebonded hair becomes weak and can break easily, some people have had bald patches after rebonding their hair, others have faced hair loss in clumps. Rebonding damages the shaft of your hair hence you are told not to pin up your hair or tuck it behind the ears, you are not even allowed to wear a rubber band or a headband, not even a clip. So you can imagine what amount of torture you are inflicting on your hair.
Though rebonding gives you the desired hair, its ill- effects cannot be ignored. If you wish to have poker straight hair, you can opt for ironing, this will certainly cause less damage since there are no chemicals, however, regular ironing is not advisable, it should be limited to once is a while activity.
