Long Illness - One of the more common causes of hair loss is a long bout with a serious illness or a very stressful period of family strife. Stress can cause many problems with your body with one being the excessive loss of hair.
Hormonal Imbalance - Another cause can be the hormonal imbalance brought on by something like a thyroid disease. Correcting a hormonal imbalance like the excess of androgens or estrogens could cause hair loss.
There are many reasons one may experience hair loss. When someone losses their hair this is always a traumatic experience to some extent. The quality of ones hair can be affected by diet as well as various diseases and skin disorders. When someone has a skin disease the skins nutrients are reduced and this can cause hair loss.
Basic Reasons for Hair Loss:
Hormones and genes.
Majority of hair loss cases, especially so-called “male hair loss”, are caused by a combination of hormones and “balding genes”. The potent hormone “DHT” (a derivation of testosterone) is responsible for hair loss in those people who also have a genetic predisposition for baldness.
Health & Fitness – Excessive hair loss is a physiological phenomenon which can be caused by a number of different factors. Under normal circumstances, we all lose some hair, which is known as “hair fall”. On average, 50 to 150 hairs are lost daily, which is compensated by the growth of the same number of new hairs.

The common reasons for hair loss in an individual varies from genetics pregnancy, diet, improper hair care, cancer treatment and illness. Male pattern baldness is noticeable among many men, which is marked by thinning hair near the forehead and at the crown. If it has not stopped by using suitable medications, it can eventually remove all the hair on opt of the head. Hair loss can be inherited from their mother, their father, or from both parents
