Ready-O-Meter For Changing Your Hairstyle

People are so used to their regular style that they are not ready for a change. Blame it on the human tendency of resistance towards change. It is very natural for us to stick to the same old hairstyle since we are comfortable with it. There are many fears that stop us from experimenting something new. The readiness to see a new “You” is missing, there are many inhibitions and pre-conceived notions about a change in style. We explore  all the common fears women have and tell you how to deal with these fears.

Fear # 1 - What if the new hairstyle doesn’t look good? This is a common question that arises in everyone’s mind when they think of going for a new haircut. It is not as difficult as it seems to be, prepare yourself by changing your current look/style as much as you can. For instance, change the parting, tie a high pony tail, tie a bun, leave your hair open, wear a headband. Do anything that makes you look different and you will be ready to accept the new look. Another trick is to go subtle the first time you get a new hair cut. Talk to your hairdresser about the fears and tell him/her that you do not want drastic changes. Subtle changes are easy to accept than drastic changes.

Fear # 2 - What if my family does not approve of it? This again is a typical problem with Indian women, they do not have an identity of their own and wish to please everyone. We suggest you prepare your family members also for your new look. Show them pictures of the desired cut and tell them how much you love the new haircut. They will come to a level of acceptance. So, don’t wait any longer get ready to see a new “You”.
