Preventing Hair Loss
Hair loss can be hereditary most of the time and there isn’t much you can do about it. However, if your hair loss is due to other reason then simple precautions will help you control hair fall. Take good care of yourself, it is not only important to eat well, but also important to sleep well. If you care for your hair it will reward you with naturally beautiful tresses. Do not go overboard with hair colouring, styling with blow dryers and irons. As much as possible avoid colouring your hair and let your hair dry naturally instead of using blow dry. Never use a flat iron on wet hair, the steam from the hair can burn your lovely tresses, this will cause major hair fall. Avoid pulling your hair, to do this wear your pony tails and braids loosely. Use good quality elastic bands which are not too tight and are flexible enough to take the natural shape of your hair.
Also proper nutrition is very important for healthy hair. Eat a balanced diet which is rich in calcium, iron, zinc and vitamins. Drink plenty of water and get good sleep, your beauty sleep of 8 hours is important for your hair too.
Use good quality shampoo and conditioners and trim your split ends if any on a regular basis. Hair care is like nail care, like your nails hair too is made up of protein. Like the way we treat our nails with manicure pedicure similarly, treat your hair with massage and deep conditioning. Trimming hair is of utmost importance whether you have split ends or no.
The ends of your hair become extremely dry since the hair is very old, no amount of conditioning or oil massage will make it better. There is total loss of moisture, hence trimming the ends will ensure thick and lively hair even at the ends.
