Prevent Hair Loss – Shampoo The Right Way
Hair loss is often caused due to various factors and a bad hair care regime is one of them. Hair loss is a natural process and it is ok if you loose 50 to 60 strands in a day.
However, anything more than that would mean that your hair needs some additional care. A good hair care routine would mean oiling, shampooing and conditioning on a regular basis. It is very essential to keep the hair and scalp clean. Unclean hair often leads to clogging of dirt and grime, when this dirt comes in contact with sweat and natural hair oils (sebum), it can cause hair fall.
Moreover, it also leads to scalp infections like fungal or bacterial infection. Hence, keeping the hair clean is very important but at the same time too much shampooing can be dangerous for your hair. It can make the hair dry and dehydrated. We share some shampooing tips to keep your hair healthy and prevent hair loss.
1) Mix shampoo with some water before applying it to the scalp. Do not apply shampoo directly on the hair and scalp, it will be harsh for your mane. use a pH balanced shampoo, it will not strip the hair of its natural oil.
2) Massage shampoo with your finger tips and leave it on for a minute, this will ensure that the dirt and grime is removed completely and your hair is clean. Leaving shampoo for a minute would also mean that you do not require a re-application of the shampoo.
3) Always use a conditioner after shampooing hair, it will protect the nourish your hair and keep it soft and healthy. Dry and frizzy hair often leads to hair problems like dullness, split ends and ultimately hair fall.
4) Use a hair serum on towel dried hair, this will help you comb through the knots easily. It will reduce hair breakage and will form a thin coat on the shaft that will protect the hair from pollution and dirt.
5) Last but not the least, buy a shampoo that suits your hair type. For this purpose you need to identify your hair type and buy a suitable product. A wrong shampoo can play havoc with your hair.
