Pinkish Makeup
Makeup is an art and should be done at the hands of a professional. It doesn’t hurt to know a little bit about makeup since you will be in a position to discuss your look with your stylist. Though professional make up artists are pro at their jobs but you are the best person to know about your features and can give an insight to your makeup artist about the flaws (if any) to get a perfect coverage.
The first step to good makeup is the foundation, it should match your complexion to the T. Don’t get lured by the desire to look fair, you will end up looking like a clay doll. Foundation that is either lighter than your skin shade or darker than your tone will look artificial and cheap. The thumb rule is to use a perfectly matching foundation. Apply the foundation in dots all over the face and blend it with a wet sponge. Now use a big round cosmetic brush to apply translucent powder on the entire face. Lightly brush the powder equally, be careful not to blotch any area.
Once the basic step is done, now work on your eyes and start with eye shadow application. Use a 3 toned eyeshadow from the same colour family i.e. pink and apply the darkest shade on the eyelid upto the crease, the medium shade on the crease and the lightest shade on the brow bone. Blend the colour properly for an even tone, the colour should not look patchy.
Once the eyeshadow is done, the next step is the eyeliner, apply a thin line close to the eyelid if you have deep set eyes or small eyes. In case you have big eyes then you can apply a thick eyeliner. Now apply the mascara only at the tips not at the roots, this will help in pulling up the mascara. Dab some shimmer below your lower eyelid and if comfortable apply kajal in your eyes.
Your eyes will make hearts flutter. Next, dab some blusher on the cheek bones. To get the blusher at the right place, smile a bit and apply blush on the part of your cheeks which is raised due to smiling. Keep the colour light to give a natural pinkish look. Highlight your lips with glossy pink lipstick. First apply the lip liner with a sharp pencil, the shade of the lip pencil should match with the lipstick colour. Now use a creamy matte lipstick as a base and then apply the glossy lipstick. This will make the lipstick stay longer.
