For a perfect mane, you need a perfect hair cut and few hair styling products. Not to mention you would also need some styling instruments. It is thus important to choose your products wisely, poor quality products can cause permanent damage to your hair. When it comes to hair products it is important to ensure that you wash your hair off the product before hitting the bed, sleeping with your styling products is very harmful for your hair. Rinse off any residue thoroughly, do not leave any residue of your shampoos and conditioners, even they can be harmful. When it comes to hair gels and sprays, go for products that are manufactured recently and throw them away as soon as they expire.

When it comes to heated products, always use a good branded instrument, it is not only safe for your hair but even otherwise. Hair dryer, for example should be more than 1800 watts, anything less than that can make your hair frizzy. Flat iron, should be of at least 600 watts. Never use a flat iron on wet hair, the steam which will emit is very dangerous for your hair, it can burn the hair.

The best flat iron is one with a ceramic plate, ceramic plate releases moisture when heated thus it is less damaging to your hair. Look for an iron that has smooth edges, this will prevent breakage due to pulling. Brushing hair is more beneficial than combing since brushing stimulates the scalp and thereby promotes blood circulation.

But it is important to use a good quality brush since a poor quality one will damage the cuticles and cause breakage. Also note that over brushing your hair to maintain a certain hairstyle is not a good idea. Instead use hair gel to fix your hairstyle. Never use neat hair gel, take a small coin sized quantity and mix it with water, by diluting it you are reducing its harmful effect, plus diluted application can be washed easily as compared to the neat application.
