Oily Skin Care

Skin care is one of the most important daily routines of an individual. The skin type of one individual differs from another. Therefore, the type of skin care also differs depending upon the skin type.

The skin type may vary from dry skin to normal skin to oily skin to combination skin. One of the most difficult tasks is to take care of the oily skin. The skin becomes oily due to the excess production of sebum through the sebaceous glands. This excess production of sebum results in excess production of oil in the skin which makes the skin appear dull and thick.

Excess oil in the skin opens up the pores of the skin and results in skin related problems such as blackheads and acne. Therefore, it is very important to take care of the oily skin, so that the excess production of oil in the skin is controlled and the skin is made clean and clear.

One can make use of mild toner to prevent the formation of excess oil in the skin. Use of mild toner further helps in toning and firming up the skin’s texture. The circulation in the skin is also improved with the help of toner.

People with oily skin are advised to remain away from greasy and creamy moisturizers and creams. Non greasy creams, lotions and moisturizers should be used for dealing with oily skin.

Oily face should be cleaned with luke warm water daily so as to keep the skin free from oil.

One should make use of cleansers instead of harsh soaps for cleaning the skin. The occurrence of acne in oily skin can be prevented by making use of antibacterial cleansers.

An individual should be very careful while choosing the cosmetics. Water based make up products should be chosen as against oil based make up products to prevent against blemishes and acne. Mud masks and clay masks are considered to be the best in case of oily skin.

So, anyone with oily skin should follow the above said measures and see the results in the texture and tone of the skin over a period of time
