Monsoon Special Skin Care
Skin care during monsoon is a little different from other seasons. This season calls for more attention due to the wetness and dampness. The humidity in weather when combined with sweat can make put your skin in the worst state. Often people experience excessive dryness or oiliness during this season. Some of them even suffer from pimples and acne.
In order to keep the skin in good condition, it is important to follow a good skin care routine. Cleansing and moisturising is an essential part of the daily routine. However, the moisturising needs may not be intensive. Light moisturizer is good for this season but you can have a day and night skin care routine. Moreover, people often ignore the need for sunscreen during this season. It may be noted that your skin will need sunscreen even during rains since the UV rays are known to penetrate the thickest of clouds and can tan your skin.
Another threat during monsoon is fungal infection, especially of the feet. Our feet comes in contact with contaminated water and when you fail to keep it dry and clean, it can lead to infections. Try to keep a separate pair of footwear at your work place, this will ensure that your feet remain dry.
Also try some home remedies for your skin during the rains. But before that, it is important to keep an anti fungal medicated cream in your bag. It should be handy so that you can use it during an emergency. It may be required for the feet. You can also apply pure coconut oil on the soles of the feet and between the toes, it has emollient properties and will soothe all skin ailments.
However, an infection needs to be dealt with some medicated cream. Coming back to home remedies, you can try this exfoliating paste, it soaks up excess oil and will scrub off the dead skin cells to reveal a smooth and delicate skin from beneath. Mix some rice flour with milk and use it as a scrubber, this home based scrubber is the best way to get rid of dull skin.
