Monsoon Mania

Rains bring with them wet and moist air, though the climate is soothing for us but can play havoc with our hair. Though there is moisture in the air, it will not moisturise your hair. Instead hair becomes sticky, greasy and limp. Dandruff is also aggravated during monsoon, this is that time of the year when even a slightest of infection can get serious. Monsoon usually ups fungal and yeast infections in the scalp, if it is not keep clean. This dampness in hair and scalp is a breathing ground for fungi and bacteria. Monsoon is also known to make your hair frizzy and limpy, the texture becomes flat.

Thanks to the chlorine content in water, it makes the hair flat and dull. It is extremely important to keep your hair and scalp clean, wash your hair regularly but use a mild shampoo. Also try some leave-in conditioner to tame the frizz. Though this season brings with it some major hair fall outs but worry not, we share some tricks or tips to deal with this weather.

1) Go for a short haircut during monsoon, there are 2 benefits; you will be able to save time and it can be washed regularly without much efforts. It is a lot easier to manage short hair and it can be a welcome change from the usual long hair styles.

2) Opt for a hot oil massage at least once in a week. This will improve the sluggish blood circulation and stimulate the scalp, leading to healthy hair. But the usual hot towel wrap is a complete no during monsoon, avoid any other hot hair treatment.

3) It is a must to wash your hair everytime you get wet in the rain, no matter how much protection you use during monsoon but heavy rains can wet your hair, so it is essential to keep your hair clean.
