As a result hair becomes sticky and oily, it looses its volume and body and falls flat. Your hair needs extra care and attention during these days and  keeping it dry is the key to good hair health. Try to keep your hair dry as much as possible, it doesn’t matter if you have to use a hairdryer once in a while.

But avoid using it at high temperature, instead, use a cool blast of air. Do not ignore dampness due to rain water, it is one of the major cause of scalp infections like, bacteria and fungus. Keep your hair and scalp clean to stay away from infections and to keep your mane gorgeous. There are some more ways in which you can improve the health of your hair. Read on to learn more about hair care during monsoon.

Oiling - Nothing can replace a hot oil massage, it is the best way to improve blood circulation and nourish the hair shaft. Of all the cosmetic oils available in the market, the best one is a non-cosmetic oil. We are talking about coconut oil, this oil penetrates almost 90% and conditions the hair. In fact, oiling is the best way to prepare your hair for shampooing. Moreover, it also forms a coating on the hair and protects it from sun and pollution. But do not oil hair for 2 to 3 days at a stretch, it is important to wash it every alternate day during monsoon season.

Shampooing - This is the next important thing in hair care. Do not use a harsh shampoo or a shampoo that has inbuilt conditioner. Always use a pH balanced shampoo and conditioner. It will help in maintaining the natural oil level of your mane and will prevent the hair from getting frizzy. Do not forget to use a conditioner.
