Mascara Application
Mascara peps up your eyes instantly, though application of mascara has been a debate. Some experts advice that mascara should be applied only at the tips of the eye lashes, whereas others state that it should be applied from the root to the tip. Whatever method of application you choose, there are few things that should be considered before buying a mascara. Use a mascara that has a seal pack and latest manufacturing date.
Mascara tends to thicken over a period so if it is not fresh you will have to discard it sooner. If your mascara gets thick do not try to dilute it with water or any other cosmetic products, throw it. Do not use mascara that is more than 3 months old. Always use a eyelash comb immediately after application to spread the product evenly on the lashes, mascara can concentrate in one area and make the lash hair spiky.
If you have dark thick lashes then avoid using black mascara instead use a transparent one. And if you have thin scanty lashes then use a volume building mascara, something that has 2 step application process. The base coat will add thickness and is usually whit in colour, followed by black mascara.
Mascara should blend with your eyeliner so if you plan to wear brown eyeliner then go for a brown coloured mascara and vice versa. Never wear a brown mascara with a black liner, it is a make up disaster. Many people apply mascara only on the upper lashes and completely ignore the lower lashes.
Well, if you look closely at celebrity photographs you will notice that they apply mascara on the upper as well as lower lashes. Infact our lower eyelashes are thinner as compared to the upper lashes and thus need more attention. Bear these tips in mind for the perfect mascara application.
