Manage Summer Hair Loss

The thickness of our hair changes with seasons, for instances, hair sheds the more during winter and monsoon as compared to summer. In fact summer is a time, when the metabolism increases and so does hair growth. So, if you have been wanting to grow your hair long, this is the right time. Sluggish metabolism during winters is the main cause of hair loss. However, in spite of the seasonal changes in hair fall, some people loose a lot of hair during summer.

So what causes this kind of excessive hair fall during summer? Well, it is the environmental factors that are responsible for this kind of hair loss. Dust, pollution and UV rays, all of these factors contribute to severe hair loss. The key to prevent hair fall during this season is by keeping the hair and scalp clean.

Apart from these environmental factors, you also have to look into your diet. A poor diet, which lacks nutrition can lead to weak and fragile hair. The quality of your blood is also important for a fuller head. This is because, your hair absorbs its nutrition from the blood vessels that surround the hair follicles. If the blood does not contain sufficient nutrients, it can lead to hair loss.

Though, some amount of hair loss and common, but if you loose more than 50 to 100 strands of hair everyday, then it is a worrisome situation. In such cases, it is good to visit a dermatologist or a trichologist. They will examine the cause of hair loss and prescribe appropriate medicines.

Though hair loss cannot be stopped completely in some cases, but it can certainly be reduced or it can be slowed. But your efforts need to be consistent.

Include proteins in your diet.
