Makeup Trends
Makeup trends change with season, with the party season just being over, it’s time to revamp not only your wardrobe but also your makeup kit. The trend for winter season is dramatic eyes combined with equally bright lips. A heavy look with both the eyes and lips getting accentuated is in. The look for winter is a very heavy, metallic look. The lips shades during this season are cherry, plum and red, topped with a glossy coat. You can also play with gold, bronze, copper and shimmer for occasions and parties.
We share some tips to get your makeup right this winter.
1) Apply some foundation as a base, ensure that the shade matches exactly with your skin colour, it should not be lighter than your natural skin tone. Look for a shade as close to your skin colour as possible. Set your foundation with a compact.
2) Add a rich bronze eye shadow to the eyelid area from the lashline across to the eye. Contour the outer corners of the eye with a dark brown or black eyeshadow and highlight the brow bone area with a light gold eyeshadow and use the same shade on the centre of the eyelid and blend it in. Define the upper lashline with an eyeliner. Keep the liner slightly thick, lifting it in an upward free stroke towards the outer corner. Finish the look with a mascara and kohl pencil.
3) Apply a blusher to the cheek area to add colour and highlight the cheek bones with a bronzer. Use a big dome shaped brush for applying blusher, it will blend perfectly and will give a natural pinkish glow.
4) use a lipliner to shape and define the lips before applying the lipstick. Top it up with a gloss in the same shade to get that wet, shiny pout.
