Makeup For 40 Plus Women
Whoever said, older women shouldn’t wear makeup, needs some shaking. Makeup can be worn by women of all age groups, what matters in the way to put it. Loud, dramatic makeup is certainly not ideal for older women. Makeup at this age should be subtle and accentuate your looks instead of making you look like a clay doll. Moreover, the makeup products you use should suit your age. Some makeup products may look flaky or cakey on wrinkled skin. The fine lines around your eyes and lips, can look horrible if the makeup product settles in those lines. Since wrinkles are not uncommon during 40′s, it is advisable to use the right products.
Here, we give you some easy and handy tips, which can help you get your makeup right.
1) Powder makeup v/s cream based – If you have to choose between powder based makeup products and cream based ones, always go for the latter one. The fine powder tends to settle in the wrinkles, thus making them more prominent. A cream based makeup product will blend well on the skin and wont accentuate the wrinkles. Be it eye shadow or the blusher, always use cream based makeup products. If you cannot get your hands on a cream based product then we suggest you mix a little cold cream in your powder products before applying.
2) Skip the eye liner - Though eye liner defines eyes, but with fine lines around the eyes, it is very difficult to apply eyeliner. In fact, the liner will look uneven and feather out due to wrinkles. So it is better to skip it completely. Instead, you can use mascara and kajal to pep up your eyes.
3) Blusher - Do not use a dark coloured blusher, pink or peach is the best bet. Moreover, avoid darker shades of pink, your cheeks should look naturally rosy. Darker coloured blusher will make you makeup look artificial.
