1) My smoky eyes makeup looks more like dark circles, how do I get it right?
Smoky eyes are tricky and to get the look right, you need some basic makeup products. For instance, you would need concealer, foundation, pressed powder, a palette of eyeshadow, makeup brushes, mascara and kajal pencil or kajal stick.
Firstly, cover the entire eye area with concealer and follow it up with a foundation. The concealer should be lighter than your natural skin tone and the foundation should match perfectly with your skin colour. Now, apply some pressed powder with a big round makeup brush. Apply your smokey eye shadow, it could either be brown or grey with silver.
Do not use black eyeshadow, it can make your smokey eyes look like dark circles. The eyeshadow should be applied on the upper eyelid upto the crease and the brow area should be smeared with some shimmer in silver.
Now apply a thin line of eyeliner on the upper eyelid and kajal on the lower lids. Smudge the kajal with the tip of your finger and finish the look with mascara. Your smokey eyes are done.
2) My lipstick fades away in an hour, can it stay longer?
Lipsticks are of various types, the long stay matte lipsticks will stay longer than the creamy or glossy ones. However, matte lipsticks can make your lips dry and are not in vogue these days.
So, how do you make your creamy lipstick stay longer? Well, there are ways to make your lipstick stay longer. Firstly, apply a concealer or foundation before you apply the lipstick. Use a neutral coloured lip liner to define the lips.
Now fill in the colour with a lipstick application brush. Your lipstick will stay much longer when applied with a makeup brush. Be careful that your lips are always hydrated, dry, chapped lips will not let lipstick stay for longer, the colour will start flaking.
