Makeup Disaster
Makeup can either make or break your look, it can either transform you to a diva or a dumbo. Well, it all depends on the way you wear your makeup. Though makeup can be done at home but if you are picking the brush for the first time without any training then here are some do’s and don’ts to get your lip and eye makeup right.
Avoid makeup disaster’s with the following tips:
Lipstick – Lipstick is one of the most important part of makeup, if worn in the right way it can give a very dramatic look. There are some basic thumb rules to be kept in mind while applying lipstick. The colour of the lipstick should not be an exact match of the garment, else it will look tacky.
Lighter shades should be worn during the day and darker ones during evenings. The shade of the lip liner should not be darker than the lipstick because once the lipstick gets lighter due to eating and drinking the lip liner will look 2 shades darker than the lipstick.
Eye makeup - To begin with, cover the entire upper eyelid with concealer or foundation as a base. Now highlight the brow bone with light shimmer like silver or gold. Colour the eyelid completely with a very deep shade like purple. Use the lightest version of the same colour on the top half of the upper eyelid. Apply a darker shade of the same colour on the lower part of the upper eyelid.
This colour must be darker than the top half but lighter than the base colour. Using the same colour, apply from the middle to the outer corner going up all the way to the tip of the eyebrow to get a fish tail effect. Add some silver or gold to the innermost corners to add drama. Outline the eyes on top with an eyeliner and add loads of mascara to upper and lower lashes.
