Luscious Lips

The most prominent feature of any woman’s face is undoubtedly, the lips. If made up well, the lips can be made up to stand out beautifully.
The only form of make up available initially was lipstick. Today, besides lipstick there are products like gloss, lip gels, liquid lipsticks all add different looks to the lips. Combined with a variety of shades, they fit every occasion.
When choosing lip products, first keep in mind your own skin tone. Select colours that complement that of your skin. Opt for the right finish of the lip product to match the occasion. A range of looks like matte, regular and glossy can be obtained by the use of different products. Choose the right one carefully. Matte finishes using nude shades are best worn to work, or during the day. Brighter colours can be used for evenings. Experiment with glossy or shimmery looks while partying.
Before actually colouring your lips, make sure you use either chapstick or lip balm generously to moisturize the lips. Products used on dry lips tend to display chapped lines and detract from the effect. The use of a lip liner is a must. Either select the same shade of liner as you have for the filler, or go one or two shades darker. Lip liners help give definition to the lips, and can also create the magical pout! Liners used to good effect can also correct irregularities, or enhance very thin lips. The last step is to apply the filler. Use the chosen colour for your lips, and fill them either directly, or with the use of a brush. Using a brush is preferable as it gives a smoother finish, and also gives you control over the amount applied. To top it off, take a tissue and bite into it to ensure any extra lipstick is absorbed, and does not leak out.
Always remember to carry your lipstick with you, as it may be required to touch it up occasionally.
