Lip Service
Lips are the most attractive features, they enhance a woman’s beauty. But often women ignore the health of their lips and then try to cover it up with lipstick. Lips too are prone to damage caused due to dryness or UV rays.
Of all the culprits, the major problem with lips is dry and chapped lips. They can be very unsightly and look horrible. Nourished and moisturised lips will hold on the lipstick well and give you that sexy pout, which you desire the most. Do not mar your beauty by ignoring your assets. There are some rules in lip care that should be followed religiously to keep them in good shape.
Read on to learn more about these tips.
1) Moisturize – Nourish your lips twice in a day with a rich moisturising lip balm. Do not use petroleum jelly, it does not good since it doesn’t get absorbed and merely forms a layer on the lips. Use an intensive lip gel or lip balm, but do not settle for cheap products. Always use a good brand and look for a special ingredient that can be a treat for your lips. We are talking about shea butter. This emollient ingredient is ideal for soft and luscious lips. You can also use some home remedies to moisturise your lips. These are easily available in the kitchen, so if you run out of your lip balm or gel, rub some pure ghee on the lips. You could also try honey since it has moisturising property.
2) Scrub your lips - Well, every time you use a face scrub to exfoliate your face, apply some on your lips too. It will remove the dead skin cells and leave your lips soft and kissable. Dry and dead skin should never be peeled, it can lead to bleeding. Try to remove it with the help of a scrub.
3) How to apply lipstick – Matte lipsticks can often dry your lips further, even the long stay ones can have a drying effect. In order to reduce this effect you should apply a lip balm before lipstick application. Dab excess of the balm with a tissue and then apply lipstick.
