Iron Your Hair Without Hair Fall
We all know that ironing hair or using any heated instrument can damage your tresses and cause hairfall. However, if you iron your hair in the right way, you can reduce the damage. We are not saying that you wont face hair fall at all, but you will certainly experience reduced hair loss. There are few steps that should be kept in mind while ironing your hair. If you follow these simple steps you can reduce hair damage manifold.
Shampoo and conditioning - Before you think of ironing your hair, ensure that it is washed and conditioned properly. Sweaty and smelly mane that has moisture will cause more damage to your hair and will not even give the desired look. So wash your hair squeaky clean with a mild pH balanced shampoo and follow up with a conditioner. Leave the conditioner for a little longer than what is recommended on the label. Towel dry your hair.
Blow drying – After towel drying your hair, use a blow dryer with a diffuser attachment and dry your hair with a paddle brush. But before you use a hairdryer do not forget to apply a heat protecting serum or spray. Use it sparingly, since too much of product can make your hair limp. You can also use straightening balm instead of heat protecting serum.
Flat ironing – The paddle brush when combined with a blow dryer will make your hair relatively straighter and remove the waves. However, you need ironing for that sleek and straight look. Divide your hair into sections and use a flat iron to straighten your hair. Ensure that you use a good quality iron that has a ceramic plate and active ions technology. It should be more than 220 V, else it will make your hair frizzy. Follow it up with a shine enhancing spray for that finished look.
