Information on Acne
Acne can be terrible, especially for teenagers for it mars the look. Apart from being a physical condition, acne has a psychological impact. It can decrease a persons self confidence and can cause low self esteem. It can also cause depression and withdrawal. Acne is a skin condition that causes irritation and bumps. These bumps are either red and inflamed or have pus. Whatever, be the type of acne, it can get worse if not treated in time. When acne aggravates, it can lead to cystic acne, which is the worst type. Usually oral and external medication is used to cure pimple but cystic acne may require puncturing with needles.
They look red and inflamed on the surface and the pus is not visible from outside but once punctured, it oozes out. This kind of condition leaves severe marks and scars on the skin. It also cause deep pits, which cannot be treated with medicine. One would need some advanced laser technology to get rid of the pits.
There are some aggravators, which can cause severe acne, we list some of them;
1) Oil from skin products such as moisturizers or cosmetics increases acne. So does grease, encountered in the work environment, for example, the kitchen.
2) Usage of compact helmets, back packs, tight collars, tight clothes are also reasons why existing acne worsens.
3) Skin irritants such as pollution and high humidity can also be a factor.
4) Squeezing or picking blemishes and pimple will damage the skin badly.
5) Scrubbing the skin too hard also causes pimples.
6) Stress and worries are other important acne causing factors.
7) Hormonal changes two to four days before the the menstrual cycle starts can also cause pimples. But these are usually temporary in nature and will go, once you get your period.
