How to Style Curly Hair

Styling and maintaining curly hair is really a cumbersome task. Lot of time and efforts are required to style curly hair. Curly hair tend to frizz out and are very unmanageable. In the current changing scenario, the trends in the hair styling industry are also changing. There are numerous ways of styling the hair these days, with the help of various kinds of hair styling equipments and hair styling products available in the market. Let us here discuss the way of styling curly hair.

Before styling curly hair, it is very important to wash the hair with shampoo. Conditioning of the hair should also be done, so that the curls become a little manageable and knots can be easily removed from the damp curly hair. The hair are then towel dried and are ready to be styled.

Anti frizz serum is applied to the curly hair thereafter. Application of anti frizz serum would help in preventing hair frizz as the styling process is carried out. Make sure that serum is applied throughout the hair in an even manner from the roots till the ends. Larger quantity of serum may be required in case of long and thick hair.

All the knots in the curly hair are brushed out with the help of fingers and wide toothed comb. It is very important that the knots are removed from the hair so that the hair prevented from getting frizzy. Start removing the knots from the ends and then proceed upwards till the roots, so that all the knots are removed properly.

The head is then flipped upside down in such a way that the damp curly hair hangs freely in the direction of the floor. Take a small amount of hair styling gel (alcohol free) in the hands and rub the hands together, so that the hands are evenly coated with the gel. The hair are then scrunched into small sections, with the help of both hands. The hands are held in tight and firm position for few seconds, unless the hair gets set. This process is repeated with the entire hair. The head is flipped back after the process of scrunching is complete. Let the curly hair dry naturally. A fabulous look of the curly hair style is thus achieved as a result.
