How To Keep Your Coloured Hair From Fading
Hair colouring or highlighting has become very common these day. Almost every next person colours their hair, but how many of them take care of their coloured hair. Chemically treated hair is very fragile and needs extra care as compared to normal hair. Carelessness will not only cause fading of the colour, but will also lead to dry hair, which will ultimately break. Post colour care is very important part of highlighted or coloured hair.
We share some tips to maintain hair colour and protect your tresses:
Hydrating serum – This is an everyday requirement, you have to hydrate your hair since coloured hair tends to loose moisture and becomes dry and brittle. Before you step out of your house, you must apply a hair serum.
Shampoo and conditioners - They play a very important role in maintaining the colour and texture of your hair. Use a shampoo that is meant for coloured hair, these shampoos enhance the colour and help in retaining shine. Though a normal shampoo will also do the work of cleaning your tresses, it will not protect the colour and shine.
Trimming - Colored hair tends to get dry at the ends, so a regular trim is a must. Trimming half an inch would mean that you keep split ends at bay. Hair should be trimmed at least once in a month. You will feel the difference in the texture when you trim your hair regularly.
Sun and chlorine - You have to protect your mane from sun and chlorine, these two things are the worst enemy of your hair. Sun can make your hair dry and wiry, it snatches away the natural moisture of your hair. On the other hand, chlorine can make your hair dry, brittle, frizzy and dull. So save your mane from chlorinated water.
One of the best way to protect is by using oiling your hair before entering a swimming pool.
