How To Deal With Summer Tan
The hot humid summers have gone but have left behind the dreadful tan. When the summers get really hot and sweaty, even sunscreen fails to work. The reason being, it gets wiped off with the sweat. Not many people use water/ sweat resistant sunscreen.
Moreover, a water proof sunscreen is quite heavy and thick in application and may cause irritation to sensitive skin. Some people may get zits and boils due to this type of sunscreen. But if you don’t use this kind of strong sunscreen the skin can get tanned ins spite of using the regular sunscreen. But God has planned the seasons well, the humid summers are followed by rain showers. This is the time to repair damages.
Pamper your skin as much as you can. Summers not only cause tanning and sun burn, they also lead to excess production of sebum, which is turn in to causes of pimples and acne. Not to mention the ugly marks they leave. Not just that, increases sebum production would mean more blackheads and whiteheads. To combat this problem it is advisable to get a clean up done once in every 20 days.
Now, let us come back to post summer care. Treat your summer tortured skin with some home made goodies. One of the most effective home remedy is to apply a paste made of besan (gramflour), turmeric, curd and lime juice. This will remove sun tan and bring a glow to your face. Dump your regular scrub for a home made scrub.
Use rice flour and mild as a facial scrub. The results are so amazing you will want to use it everyday. But scrubs should be used only once in a week. Other skin care remedy is to apply milk, simply add a pinch of turmeric to the milk and apply it on your face and hands. Allow it to dry and then rinse off. Washing your face with buttermilk also helps in improving the texture of skin.
