Choose a powdered foundation depending upon your skin type. The right shade can be chosen by testing on the neck and seeing whether it blends properly on your skin or not.

A make up brush or make up puff is chosen to apply the powder foundation on the skin. Use of fluffy brush is considered to be the best for application of powder foundation on the skin. The brush is swirled into powder foundation and the excess of the powder is tapped off from the applicator brush.

Each and every section of the face is then tapped with the help of the brush. Downward and circular strokes are used to apply the powder foundation. One single layer is applied throughout the face in a thorough manner, making sure to blend the neck area and the jaw line thoroughly.

In order to provide more coverage to the face, one may apply some more powder foundation. However, it is very important to ensure not to overdo the application of the powder foundation. Excess of everything is bad. Excess of the powder foundation may tend to give a cakey appearance of the skin.

Any excess powder on the eye lids should be removed with the help of cotton swab soaked with little amount of water. Make sure that there is no powder on the eye lashes, so that the application of the mascara on the eyelashes becomes easier.
