How to Add Volume to Your Hair
Poker straight hair is out of fashion these days and curls have made a comeback. Though curling hair everyday can be a task but some other trends this season are crimping and voluminous hair do’s. Create volume with a straightening iron and add that oomph to your hairstyle.
The trick here is to lift the roots up away from the head with straightening irons, curving the iron as you move them down each hair section. The bigger the lift and curve at the root, the more volume will it create. You can either add volume only at the crown or simply create a full blown effect.
We share some of the volumnous style to be worn this winter.
1) Full blown effect - Start with the layers underneath and work up to the top or , if you are falling short of time then just work on the mid and top layers. Put in an off centre parting and start lifting sections up and over at the roots through the crown, front and sides. Curve them inside onto the face now brush through for the glam look.
2) Half up hairstyle – Work from the crown towards the hairline, use the volume trick on wide sections of hair. Repeat at the sides from behind the ear towards the hairline. Smooth the fringe, then pull the sides and crown back into a pony tail, keeping the volume at the crown and leaving the back loose. Mist some hair spray.
3) Quiff – Start sectioning and ironing from the crown to the hairline but keep the sides smooth and pull them back with the rest of the hair into a pony tail. Pull the front into a quiff shape and secure the quiff ends into the pony. Mist some hair spray.
