How Does Hair Loss Happen
Losing hair is a natural occurrence. An average person loses about 50 to 100 strands everyday. But when it goes beyond control, the hair fall can become a problem. Hair fall can occur due to various reasons like; Stress, Pollution, Improper Diet, Ageining and hard water. Stress may also cause hormonal imbalance which can lead to hair fall, hormonal changes cause certain reactions like transformation of terminal hair to vellus- type hair, which results in disruption of the hair growth cycle i.e. hair becomes shorter with each cycle.
Premature completion of anagen phase which means growing phase of hair, this in turn yields hair follicles which are far thinner and shorter than normal hair follicles. This hormmonal imbalance occurs when an enzyme called 5 – alpha reductase, present in certain cells, converts testoterene (the mail hormone, also prevalent in females in small quantities) to di-hydrotestosterone called as DHT. In this situation you should take advice from a Doctor.
Of all the other factors for hair loss the most dreadful is stress, other factors can be cured, there are alternatives available, for example you can use mineral water for washing your hair if the hair fall is due to harsh water, you can improve your diet and save yourself from pollution by weraing a scarf when outside but you don’t have an alternate solution for stress. Stress can affect not only your hair but your entire wellbeing, if stressed watch for signs of dandruff, this stress related dandruff is usually dry and fine powdery type.
The best way to beat stress is to take a break, we stretch ourselves so much that we hardly take a breather. Relax and unwind yourself, do things that you enjoy doing, go on a vacation. All the money that you have earned will be of no good if you don’t live your life to the fullest. At work cut down your responsibilities , learn to say “No” and delegate work if you can, take small steps to de- stress yourself and you will see the difference.
